This is NOT chocolate, but an alternative sweet treat that looks & has
similar taste of chocolate with NO caffeine. Please feed as TREAT only & in
moderation. But...Don't worry - we won't tell your bird that you ate them
CAROB - a chocolate substitute made from the
roasted and ground pods of the carob tree, a Mediterranean evergreen that goes
by the name Ceratonia siliqua. Also called St. John’s Bread, carob is naturally
sweet and high in calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, and magnesium. When
roasted, it has a flavor somewhat similar to chocolate but unlike chocolate does
not contain caffeine.
