The sturdy, painted wood, metal and plastic construction includes a galvanized tin roof to ensure long usage. This bird feeder has a 4.75 lb. seed capacity. Gaps on two sides of the feeder create places for seed to exit onto the tray, and a long perch on these sides offers spots for birds to sit and dine. An internal baffle helps direct seed to the ports, and holes on the base allow water to drain. The bold metal roof protects the seed from rain, as well as offers birds a bit of shelter while feeding.
