Which Ultimate Blend Is Right for Your Bird?
Share
Our Ultimate Blend started as the food we made for the birds in our own store. Today it's trusted by over 10,000 birds, and it comes in several versions designed for different species and needs. Every version is made fresh daily in our store. Here's how to pick the right one.

Still not sure?
- Have more than one type of bird? Many households feed the Original blend to medium parrots and Benji or Blend III to their small birds.
- Bird watching its weight? Cockatoos and Amazons gain weight easily, and Natural Choice is our lower-sugar option.
- Bird already eats a pellet? Use Build-A-Blend to make your own Ultimate Blend around it.
Our species feeding guides go into more detail for each type of bird.
Which size should you buy?
Most blends come by the pound and in 5 lb, 10 lb and 20 lb bags. Because they're made fresh, buy an amount your birds will finish while it's still fresh. Our guide to buying bird food in bulk helps you pick.
Switching to an Ultimate Blend
Mix the new blend into your bird's current food and increase it gradually over two to four weeks. See how to switch your parrot from seeds to pellets for a step-by-step plan.
